I offer online workshops to improve students' success in college. We would start with a free initial consultation, followed by a recommendation for the appropriate service(s) needed. The aim is to provide you with practical answers to these questions (and more):
I am available either online or in person to offer workshops or conference sessions on critical pedagogy. With these sessions, I can help you develop a practical plan to:
I received my bachelor's degree in Humanities at Université Lumière in Lyon, France. I then went on to receive my master's degree in Communication from Hawaii PacifIc University in Honolulu, USA. I capped that off with a PhD in Education from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. I have been working in the field of education for the past 20 years as a teacher, professor, instructional designer, and critical pedagogue.
For the past 20 years I have managed educational programs and services in Canada, Ethiopia, France, and the United States. I am an experienced educator, workshop animator, classroom facilitator, curriculum builder, and instructional designer. Currently, I am a Humanities professor at Dawson College where I have been granted the Teaching Excellence Award and work as a UDL fellow (Universal Design for Learning). Each year, I continue my own training by attending a variety conferences and workshops, all to constantly improve how I help my my clients with their study/teaching needs.
When I'm not working, I enjoy traveling with my family. My favourite places to travel to so far have been Istanbul, Tokyo, and Jasper. On weekends, I enjoy the outdoors when it is warm out; and when it is cold, I prefer discovering new stores, museums, and restaurants in town. As for my hobbies, I play the taiko drum, practice martial arts, and sometimes run long distance. In my spare time, I like to volunteer for humanitarian associations, especially those related to education or that benefit young people.
